The cemetery opens its gates only twice a year and this will be the last day pups can come stretch their legs and romp through the cemetery. Free though any donations will go to the OHC preservation fund.

Come have your oh so furry, not-so-furry, 2 or 4 leggeds and even slithery friends blessed at this brief, warm, welcoming, and light-hearted ecumenical service on the church’s front lawn. We’ve been in the past and enjoyed the warmth and community.

It’s fall and one of the most pleasant times to hike. The B&A is one of 1600 rail trails supported by Rails to Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that works to create a nationawide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously unused railroad corridor, this “rail-trail” is now a great place to walk Fido! In Anne Arundel County, it’s just about 1/2 drive.

More great hiking. Just about an hour’s drive away in Frederick County, this park traverses the Appalachian National Scenic Trail and also is home to several Civil War historic sites. Great place to go for a day hike.
